Following the consultation, Snowdon said she hopes the PSIG will get support from the industry to continue providing information to the industry on scams.
She added: “Our focus is probably going to be more on helping to educate, as opposed to perhaps trying to help at the back end in terms of once somebody has been scammed. This is because we would like to see victim support provided more holistically from central sources like the government.

“We will continue to do our work on preventing scams happening and that's by promoting good practice in the industry, lobbying the government to do better and to continue sharing intelligence on current threats and on bad actors."
