A pair of board members have been appointed by the Chartered Insurance Institute as the body works to build public trust in the sector.
Dr Desmond Bermingham will join as chair of the education and learning committee, and Jon Graham as chair of the audit and risk committee.
Both started an initial three-year term on June 3.
Bermingham said: "The work delivered by the CII to the insurance and financial planning field is of immense value, and I look forward to making my contribution towards this.”
While Graham said he looks forward to the opportunity to work alongside "esteemed individuals" who deliver the opportunity for growth and progress in the insurance sector.
At the end of 2022 a dispute between the CII and the Personal Finance Society began and since then it has faced a series of resignations and appointments.
It all began when the CII announced it was taking control of the PFS board amid "failed mediation".
Dr Helen Phillips, CII group chair, said the pair of new board members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the roles.
She added: "We look forward to working alongside them both, as we continue in our pursuit of building public trust in the insurance and financial planning professions."
