TFP also encouraged me to use the interview process to interview them to see if they were an employer I would want to work for.
This was the first time I had been in an interview where the employer encouraged this.
The recruitment process included a trial day. This was beneficial as it helped remove barriers, as I was allowed to interact with a range of employees.
This helped set expectations of the environment I would be working in but also clarified the job specification did provide me with exposure to all aspects of financial planning.
The trial day helped confirm TFP would be a firm I would want to work for.
The training process at TFP was brilliant. I progressed quickly and all the training I received was practical and thorough.
On my first day, I was taken through the training plan. This plan was effective as the progression in the training to the more intricate tasks seemed seamless, which was essential to building confidence within my role.
Five months in and I feel proud to be part of the team at TFP. I hope this helps provide some insight into any young recruits looking to start a career in financial advice.
