Wren Sterling has added £400mn with the purchase of three firms, marking its expansion into Northern Ireland.
Ralston Bennett Financial Planning and its appointed representative business, Aspects Financial, both based in County Down, will combine to create Wren Sterling’s first permanent base in Northern Ireland, the company announced today (May 11).
The two firms are based in Holywood and Newtownards respectively, and employ seven financial advisers between them, serving private and corporate clients.
Wren Sterling has acquired a third firm, St Helens-based Callisto Wealth which will become part of Wren Sterling’s north-west hub in Wilmslow.
Chief executive officer of Wren Sterling, James Twining, said: “Our move into Northern Ireland is strategically very important for us.
“We already have clients in Northern Ireland who will be better served by a local adviser, and we see real opportunity to grow in what is a large and attractive market.”
Wren Sterling acquired three firms last year, as part of its focus on acquiring new hubs in London, the South West, the Midlands and Edinburgh.
These acquisitions included Oxfordshire-based financial adviser, Critchleys Financial Planning, Manchester-based advice firm Mutual Financial Management, and Warwick-based HB&O Financial Services.
In February last year, the company appointed James Twining as its chief executive officer, outlining its ambitions to grow.
